The seventh edition of the Women of the World Festival is being held in Kathmandu City from 23 to 24 November 2024.

WOW is a festival that celebrates the achievements of women, girls, and non-binary people and examines the obstacles they face across the world.

The Festival features talks, film screenings, live music, theatre performances, mentoring, activities for children, workshops and more. There is something for everyone at WOW. WOW uses the power of stories, narratives, and the arts to create engagement on the themes of gender equality.

WOW is a place where we tell stories, share ideas, and spark connections. The festival is for everyone. It brings together people – both speakers and audience members – from all corners of society to energise and provide the inspiration and tools to make the change.

WOW is organised by British Council in partnership with WOW Foundation. The festival this year is hosted by Kathmandu Metropolitan City and made possible through collaborations with a diverse group of speakers, artists, curators, volunteers, collaborators, partners, and supporters.

WOW is happening at the Nandi Keshwar Bagaincha (Narayanchaur), Naxal, Kathmandu. Each day, the festival starts at 8 am and goes on until 8 pm. Join us for two days full of conversations, stories, music, arts, sharing, and learning as we celebrate how far we have reached in our journeys toward gender equality and together, envision a more equal world.
