You can take an IELTS test on paper or on a computer at one of our official test centres in Biratnagar, Birtamod, Butwal, Chitwan, Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Either way, you will be taking exactly the same IELTS test, with the same test content and structure. The only difference is that you can choose to type your answers or write them on paper – whichever suits you best.

What is the IELTS on computer exam?

If you do the IELTS on computer, you will answer the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a computer at one of our official test centres. While those sections of the IELTS exam are computer based, the IELTS Speaking test will still be face-to-face with a trained IELTS Examiner, as this is the most effective way to assess your speaking skills.

If you do IELTS on computer, you will now have more test dates to choose from - and your results will be available in 1-5 days.

IELTS computer based tests are available in Kathmandu at one of our official test centres.

IELTS on paper

If you choose this option, during your IELTS exam time you will write the answers to the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on paper. The IELTS Speaking test will still be face-to-face with a trained IELTS Examiner, as this is the most effective way to assess your speaking skills.

Your results will be available up to 13 calendar days from the test date.

If you have any special requirements, you should take the paper-based test.
