The British Council and Film Development Board (FDB) invite expressions of interest from film students, writers, researchers, and professionals to work on a Film Sector Timeline. This British Council grant will enable the selected grantee to work closely with FDB’s Archive Officer to:

  • Research existing literature and conduct key informant interviews
  • Produce a long-list 100 major events in the film sector 
  • Organise a focus group discussion with established sector professionals and experts to workshop the long list to finalize 50 key milestones
  • Create visual timeline listing dates and descriptions of milestones with supporting testimonials/facts sourced during research, interviews, and the focus group discussion

The grant award is valued at 60,000 NPR and is expected to cover 30 workdays (defined as 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Sunday to Friday) between 1 March – 30 April 2021. The final output needs to be submitted by 30 April to the British Council. Grant output will be used to design a visual timeline that will be installed on the Film Development Board office in Chabahil.
