International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT)

On this important day which is another reminder for us to stand up against discrimination and offer solidarity to LGBTIQ+ individuals and communities, we want to announce grants for queer creatives.

We are happy to partner with @kaalo101 and @outburstqueerarts to invite queer artists, writers, performers, musicians, and designers to apply for support for their creative ideas and projects.

Along with @outburstqueerarts and @kaalo101, we are hyped to invite you to share your ideas, dreams and projects and create a magical queer space with us.

 About the context

In collaboration, we will conduct a capacity-building workshop that will support participants to creatively develop ideas and imagine exciting presentations of their projects. The session will as well highlight how to draft a proposal to apply for grants we will share with queer artists/writers/performers/musicians/designers this year. These grants focus on preparing artists for a Queer Arts Festival in Nepal and potentially gives them the opportunity to showcase their work on different international platforms.

Attending the workshop is not a condition to apply for the grants but will surely support you in the future, even with other applications. The call is open for any medium and we do equally accept applications from individuals, groups, and collectives.

Please send @kaalo101 a DM with a short introduction of yourself and your idea, including some previous examples of your creations (max. 400 words). You can also send in a video, if this seems easier for you.
