I have been part of Women Of the World (WOW) Kathmandu from the time it was established two years ago. It is exceptionally amazing to be part of such an event. My life has changed in so many ways after having met and worked with a wide variety of wonderful women. Women who are strong, independent and have achieved so much in life even after having experienced immense difficulties. Meeting these women reinforced my commitment to the causes I have been fighting for all these years. More importantly, it made me aware that I’m not alone and that there are other women who face similar challenges. I am extremely grateful to WOW Kathmandu for organizing such events that encourage women all over Nepal.

On that note, happy sixtieth British Council. You have done exceptionally well over the years. I remember going to the library as a child and allowing my imagination to run wild in the presence of all the books and newspapers available there. Those days we didn’t have mobile phones, let alone the internet, but the library provided us with all the information we required. Thank you so much for being a part of our educational journey, and here’s to sixty more years to come.
