06 March - 07 March 2018 Jordan, AMMAN

Schools Now! is an international conference organised by the British Council for schools which are part of the British CounciI’s Partner Schools Network— a global network of schools whose students take UK school examinations through the British Council.

This is the third series of Schools Now! Conferences. The theme this year is innovation, in teaching, learning and assessment. The conference is designed for school leaders who wish to learn more about these three key areas of education in the 21st century, to share their expectations of these areas and to network with like-minded peers.

 The conference will explore innovation:-

  • for teachers for capacity development and increasing the opportunities for professional growth and improvement.
  • for learners to promote collaboration and co-operation.
  • for leaders as change agents, to consider the culture required for innovation in the classroom and the importance of communication technologies as a vehicle for change in 21st century learning.

British Council Nepal is sponsoring 6 delegates from its top partner schools to attend Schools Now! Conference in Jordan. Delegates from Chelsea International Academy, Trinity International College, Xavier International Academy, Little Angels College, British Model College and Nami College will be attending this conference.

Meet the speakers

Mrs. Yashodhara Prasai Bhetuwal

Mrs. Yashodhara Prasai Bhetuwal has been enthusiastically dedicated in the field of education for the last 18 years. She has the Masters of Arts in Economics and a student of Educational Leadership and Management. She currently is the A Level Coordinator at NAMI College and is also an Economics Lecturer at St. Xavier’s College for A Level itself in Nepal. She also has her own books and articles about different topics published.

She is a true representative of Nepal’s higher education system too. Among the education leaders of Nepal, she is one of those nationalists who could see the reality without any personal interest and ambition. Her contribution to the development of modern Nepalese thought through her educational and social philosophy is invaluable.

Yashodhara rightly recognizes that national identity could not come merely through the gates of politics but through reformative education. Her entire life was spent in service of education and will spend the remaining life for the development of reliable and sustainable education system development in the country.

Join Mrs. Yashodhara Prasai Bhetuwal on 6 March from 11:00 am to 11:35 am. at the Schools Now! Conference in Amman, Jordan.
